My 360 review was completed in January of 2016 by nearly a dozen team members consisting of my managers, direct reports, peers, stakeholders and myself. The exercise in collating feedback allowed to me narrow in on future areas of development.
My full 360 report can be found here: Kim Karman Perceptions_360_Feedback_Report
Strengths Identified:
- Customer focussed
- In the 24 months prior to this review I had spent a substantial amount of effort in building up our customer knowledge, analytics, feedback mechanisms and customer care and service efforts. This effort resulted in a 20% decline in customer cancellations year on year, so the feedback reflected this effort did not go unnoticed, which was appreciated.
- Networking & positive energy
Potential development areas:
- Innovation & creativity
- supporting all New Scientist teams to encourage innovation and creativity from the bottom up and within teams
- Sharing of wider goals, sacrificing local goals for bigger gains
- moving away from being the subscriptions authority in my role to a wider context for the business
- Confidence in strategic thinking and new ideas
- delegating tactical execution to others; sharing analysis for more intelligent business decision making
